Summary

Born in Fuente Vaqueros, Elysa started working as interior designer and later was formed as an illustrator at the Granada School of Art.

In 2007 she had her first contact with animated film in a small production company alongside with Art Director Matías Marcos, where she became a concept artist.
Since 2012 she has participated in official exhibitions for several galleries in Seville, Madrid, Barcelona, New York or Los Angeles.

With 15 years of experience in children's publishing illustrating textbooks (Editorial Planeta or Pearson Education) and for advertising campaigns for brands such as Arroz SOS, she later returned to animated films in 2016, where she was a member of the Art Direction team together with José Luis Ágreda in the Goya-winning animated feature film “Buñuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles”, directed by Salvador Simó. In the film, she did much of the development, supervising the backgrounds, and doing the colorkey of the film.
In 2020 she was Art Director in the short film "Spring Always Comes Back" (Goya 2023 Nominated) by Alicia Núñez Puerto.

From 2020 to 2022 she was Art Director in the feature film “DragonKeeper”, co-produced with China and directed by Salvador Simó.

At the same time, she worked for Rokyn as Art Director of the animated sequences of the documentary "Cante Jondo, Granada 1922" by José Sanchez Montes.

She is currently involved in several projects still in development.
